Waterstoning is a literary journal hosted at the University of Southern California, dedicated to publishing poetry, prose, art, and screenplays
that ripples outwards and lingers with readers. We were founded as a home for emerging writers and to be a place where they could publish work that is honest, imaginative, and emotionally grounded. Our name originates from the name “Rubywridge-Waterstone”, a fictional megacorp/megabank in one of the founder’s cyberpunk themed anthologies. Our mission is to
create a community that cares deeply about craft, whether that be remaining traditional or pushing the boundaries of writing and art.
